“Shooting stars of science”. As a kid from the neighbourhood Bochum Marketing as a customer is as close to our hearts as it can be. The marketing of the city of Bochum characterizes itself through innovative and special means of communication for years already – and we are proud to ad our part as their lead agency!

Lots of action and cool ideas

Besides a lot of smaller marketing actions like Bochum’s Christmas markets’ website, promotions or the design of a new look and feel for farmer’s markets, the yearly campaigns always enjoy a special focus. The campaign “Shootingstars der Wissenschaft” (Shooting stars of science) in 2018 targeted the promotion of Bochum as a site for modern technology concerns as employers to graduates from all over Germany.

Therefore, we started by hosting workshops with selected companies from Bochum, to identify stand out chances graduates can strike in these companies. After analysing these chances, we started framing campaign themes. During this process we found orientation in common superheroes. But how do you reach out to tomorrows top researchers? The answer is by meeting them on site of their campus! Thus, we started our journey to promote the employment location Bochum with a decided media plan and promotions at campuses all over Germany, that are famous for their technological expertise. In cooperation with participating companies, we developed lotteries, which got their winners directly involved with the work of the tech companies.
